PEORIA, Ill. โ The former CEO of Reditus labs is accused of receiving contraband in the Peoria County Jail.
25 News reports Aaron Rossi has been indicted on charges relating to it, a week after a Peoria County Jail staff member was arrested on charges of allegedly sneaking a cannabis vape pen to an inmate.
25-year-old Ezekiel Hidden is facing misconduct and bringing contraband to a penal institution charges in relation to the incident.
The indictment says that Rossiโs possession of the vape pen โthreatened the order, discipline, and security of the jail.โ
Rossi was sentenced to five years in federal prison last year for plotting to defraud a former employerโฆand is facing additional charges in an alleged scheme to defraud the state and healthcare providers connected to COVID-19 tests administered by Reditus.
